This was our 2nd stop today when looking for baked goods. It will be our first from now on. If your looking for quality and quantity this is the ONLY place to go. All the items we bought were great. The cupcakes, coffee cake., gooey butter cake, cherry tart, they have a wall of donuts, a case of cookies. I could spend way too much in this store. They do custom cakes, print on type cakes, stop buying baked goods anywhere else. This place is fantastic. What do I recommend....EVERYTHING!
Fantastic doughnuts ! We love going to a HomeTown Bakery. The cheese danishes are fantastic, the peanut squares are delicious, the kids love the crazy decorated cookies and they samples I've had of them have been quite delicious. Basically, if you like baked goods there's something here for everyone. I haven't tried all the different types of baklava they offer but that is one of my goals
We've made it a family tradition to stop for donuts here on our way out of town. My personal favorites are the Bavarian cream-filled long John and the crunch cake donut. We've tried their pies and cookies as well. Nothing has disappointed yet, and you'll be lucky to find a crumb leftover!
Some of the best donuts around and they are reasonably priced. We probably go once a month. My favorite is the Bavarian cream filled chocolate long john.
Woods is always top teir. We love their peanut squares, danish, cinnamon rolls and donuts! Everything is amazing!
I finally got back out to the STL Donut Tour this weekend and stopped in to Wood Bakery. What a great shop! They have such amazing looking cakes and cookies and desserts with a giant wall filled with so many styles of Donuts to try! They have different specialty styles depending on which day you come in and I got the last Salted Caramel Long John today - so good! This place has some of the best cake donuts I've had on the tour this season! Definitely stop in here if you like cake donuts and custard filled donuts!
Now, mind you, I didn't get to the bakery until afternoon. Finally made it to Woods bakery, and it was well worth the wait. Goodies galore, only problem they sold out of their Easter cookies. With that said, there was still plenty to choose from for my visit. Little pies and my favorite cherry with struesel crumbs, cinnamon Raisin Bread with icing, small cupcakes filled with icing, and last but not least, glazed donuts. I have to admit it was the best glazed donut I've ever tasted, so light & fluffy with just the perfect glaze on it. I could eat quite a few but stopped at one. Lest I forget, they make strollers, coffee cakes, mini cakes for birthdays, regular sized cakes and pies, Danish rolls, mini pies, cross buns, breads, noodles, muffins and tons of special cookies Frozen goodies, too, like carrot cake, cup cakes, birthday cakes. I'm sure I'm missing items, so go check out this delicious bakery. You won't be disappointed.
Wood bakery is the office favorite for donuts! Never had any trouble with the wait being too long in the morning, usually in and out of there in about 15 mins or less. The folks behind the counter are always great. And of course the donuts are wonderful and fresh. I’ll miss Wood bakery when we move :(
Stopped by on a cross country road trip and googled 'local donut shops' for breakfast. My family was welcomed with friendly smiles and great service. The donuts were some of the freshest we've had and the pricing was way better than any chain donut shop has ever been. We will definitely stop again if ever driving through town. Thank you!
